Cooking Oil Filters
Is this idea good enough to run SVO in my diesel truck?
Ok i know the consequences of running cold(er) veggie oil, any oil, through a diesel engine. I want to buy one of those inline coolant heated filters to run straight filtered cooking oil through my 2006 f250. I live in lubbock texas and it never really gets cold here. I dont want to buy one of those exspensive second fuel tank kits and i dont want to have to take up the space for the second tank. If i let my glow plugs heat up for a good minute or so then start my truck (running on nothing but oil) will it do damage to my injectors and pumps and other components? Kindve hard to explain over text but i hope one of you sees what i mean.
Pure cooking oil that is not processed will damage the fuel pump and fuel injectors. It is too thick for them.
